is a minority owned and operated pipe service company specializing in API Threading, Pilling Threading and Proprietary Threading, ranging in sizes of 4.50" to 20" O.D. (outside diameter) casing, in the energy and construction industries. Founded in 2013 in Houston, Texas, IPS aims to provide excellent customer service and reliable equipment, efficiently and economically. IPS is a licensed American Petroleum Institute 5CT (API) Pipe Threader of Tubing and Casing for the Oil and Gas Industry, Registrar of API Specification Q1.
IPS is certified to manufacture a semi-premium connection through customers detailed specification of their proprietary connection. IPS utilizes the TDS® (Tubular Data Systems) management software for pipe inventory control, inspection records, and reporting of OCTG (Oil Country Tubular Goods) materials. With our streamlined pipe loading process and experienced forklift crew, we maximize loading and unloading opportunities, moving trucks resourcefully, timely and in a safe manner, essentially decreasing downtime for our customers.

FREDDIE ALEJANDRO I Managing Partner
Freddie Alejandro founded Independent Pipe Services, LLC (IPS), in 2013. Mr. Alejandro is responsible for all operations. Prior to IPS, he worked as V.P. at International Tubular Services Limited, a worldwide oil and gas rental tools supplier. He has 30 years of oil and gas experience with extensive skills in threading and manufacturing.
JOHNNY JUAREZ I QA Manager
Johnny brings 13 years of oil and gas experience to IPS. He is the IPS Quality Management Representative and maintains out IPS Quality Program, Quality Policy, and Certifications for pipe threading. He also complies with the requirements of the American Petroleum Institute (API) retaining essential records and providing adequate resources and training to those employees responsible for assuring compliance while continually improving the effectiveness of the quality management system. He is responsible for the monitoring of all activities affecting the quality of operations and materials as well as conducting periodic audits of the overall Quality Program.

JESSE ALEJANDRO I Director of Operations
Jesse Alejandro served honorably in the United States Army for 22 years, where he held multiple leadership and managerial positions. He brings over 18 years of management experience, including service as an Army Recruiter and Instructor, and is a decorated Combat Veteran. During his military career, Jesse earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Operations Management, graduating with honors. His background reflects proven leadership, operational excellence, and a strong commitment to continuous improvement.
LIDIA TAMAYO I Office Manager
Lidia performs all Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable tasks as well as reviewing and analyzing monthly financial reports with the company owners. She maintains and posts all G/L entries, general ledger reconciliation and month-end close and processes payroll for all employees and owners. Her responsibilities also include HR duties and providing administrative support to owners and all employees to ensure an effective and efficient office operation. Assisting vendors with phone calls and discrepancies and assisting the General Manager with purchasing consumables, supplies and materials needed to perform daily threading services.
GILBERT GUERRA I General Manager
Gilbert Guerra brings 25 years of oil and gas experience to IPS. He manages the day-to-day operations and IPS team. Mr. Guerra is an essential component to all business and marketing functions.
CARLOS AVALOS I QC/Operations Manager
Carlos Avalos brings 11 years of oil and gas experience to IPS. He is the QC Supervisor at IPS - Garrett Rd location and works closely with the QA Manager to ensure that IPS complies with the requirements of the American Petroleum Institute (API) retaining essential records, providing adequate resources, and training, while continually improving the effectiveness of the quality management system. He works with the General Manager & Production Supervisor to plan out, and schedule all work orders, ensuring all deadlines are met. His other responsibility includes overlooking Shipping & Receiving department to ensure all materials being received or shipped are correct.
